“GROWING UP”
When I was in primary school, my mom asked me “what do you want to do in the future?” I said, “I want to be a teacher!” When I was in middle school, I wanted to be a cartoonist. When I was in high school, I wanted to be a zoologist. But now, I don’t know what I want to become after I graduated from the university. Recently, when people ask me “what do you want to do, and what do you want to become?” Honestly, I don’t know, I just trying to do whatever I can do. People think I know and capable of doing so many things such as baking, cooking, cosplaying, dancing, drawing, Chinese, English, Japanese. However, what can I do as a career, and lead my life based on that? I don’t know. I feel jealous and admire people who know what they are doing and have a clear goal and expectation of their life and future. My mom told me happiness is the most important thing, and to keep trying and be myself; then I will find my way eventually. So, I believe in myself, and I want at least to be my true self, and follow my heart and keep doing what I am good at, and never give up my hobbies (drawing, cosplay, singing, dancing, etc.). One day, I will find what I like as a career, and lead a happy life with the people I love.
“ABOUT ME”
Cosplay, animation, fashion... These are the words that can describe me. I am Yixuan Xie, and I’ve been doing cosplay for 7 years, since I was in high school. I’ve always dream about being a professional cosplayer or working in the fashion industry. Also, I like to wear Lolita dress (as the picture shows) as daily outfit sometime. I know people on the street might be questioning about why I dress up like this. I just want to be my true self and don’t let people’s judgments bother me.
