Understanding and Awareness

Being Black to me is a blessing. First of all, I am God’s creation, God created me Black and for that I give thanks to him. Despite the challenges that I face as a Black women, there is nowhere anyone can make me regret that I am Black. I am Black and most of all I am a human being. It’s horrendous the discrimination, stigmatization and stereotypes that we face in today’s world. History already dismantled us, but those of us looking to the future can unite us. It’s sad how we are being portrayed on social media, news networks, businesses, flyers and even the newspapers. Most people in today’s world cannot think or make decisions for themselves, the media outlets and people around them do the thinking or decision making for them. Whatever the media says they believe or follow. Not all leaders are meant to be leaders.

It’s sad how many Black people feel the need to bleach their skin- why though? I see companies that supply skin bleaching products and individuals who condone the use of this product. I find this to be a form of psychological, social and physical control. This is a product that is used for mind and body control. There are many people out there act racist and support racist organizations, they create products like these to validate their racism in the slickest way possible. Despite this, please keep in mind that you are unique in your own way, you are very special and no-one can replace who you are. You may not believe in God but we all have to face our judgement day. Lastly, thanks to all other races that truly stand up , speak up and fight against racism.

I AM BLACK AND I AM PROUD, THIS SOMETHING YOU CANNOT TAKE AWAY FROM ME. Stand up my fellow Black people, unite and fight against racism.
