Understanding and Awareness

Grief has a way of changing everything you thought you knew about yourself. When I lost my husband in 2023, I was forced to find a version of myself I had never met before—one that could carry heartbreak while still showing up each day as a mother, an artist, and a woman determined not to let pain have the final word. There were days when simply getting out of bed felt like a victory, yet music became the place where I could breathe, heal, and slowly rediscover hope. Every lyric I write, every stage I step onto, and every opportunity I create for myself, and others is a reminder that purpose can be born from unimaginable loss. My story is not about pretending the pain disappeared; it is about choosing to keep moving with it, allowing grief to shape me without defining me. This chapter of my life is still unfolding, but if my journey can inspire even one person to believe that new beginnings are possible after devastation, then every step forward has been worth taking.
