Change is always happening in the world, and in my world, it needs to happen. It pains me that we still judge and speak down to people, especially from high-risk neighborhoods. In today’s day and time, social media plays a huge role in how the world is today, and if change is truly to happen, we need to use social media to highlight the positive instead of the negative. We as people, need to come together and help each other rise to our greatness, and provide a helping hand to those who need it. Everyone wants change, but not everyone is willing to put in the work to make that change. But I’m willing to do it, I’m willing to work hard to make a positive change in my city, and community. Don’t get me wrong, I’m scared as hell in trying to make change, because I don’t know if I can and what will come from it, but I’m also scared that if I don’t try things may get worse.
Gandhi believed in change, and it is possible to be the change in the world. But to be that change, we must do better, and we will. Some may think change isn’t possible, and some think it is, but we’re living in a time of possibilities, and we can make this happen. I’m still a young man, and I’m hoping by the time I’m in my 60’s or before it, I can see the change I want in the world. Yes, I’m playing my part, but others must do their part if we want to achieve the change.
